CIMA is thrilled to announce that Christie’s is generously sponsoring one of our fall 2019 fellowships. Founded in 1766, the venerable auction house strives to leave a positive, enduring impact on society through cultural stewardship and arts advocacy. Moreover, the company has for many years allotted a great deal of attention to Italian art.
CIMA is deeply grateful to Christie’s for its generous funding of a CIMA fellowship, helping to nurture scholarship on Italian art in all of its aspects. The Christie’s-CIMA fall 2019 fellowship has been awarded to Claudia Daniotti, an art historian and researcher specializing in Italian Renaissance art with an emphasis on iconography, the classical tradition, and the transmission of visual motifs from antiquity to the present times.
